FAQ'S

WILL I LOOK ORANGE?

This formula will customize itself to each individual skin tone. Our formula delivers a golden bronze tone to the skin through a caramel extract that accentuates any skin tone once applied.

HOW LONG WILL MY TAN LAST?

Both the regular and rapid tan, with proper care, should last at a minimum of five days. Depending on the extent of your personal post-tan care, the tan can last up to 10 days.

WHAT SOAPS AND LOTIONS SHOULD I USE?

Reach for mild soaps and fragrance free formulas both pre and post tans. Moisturize with a fragrance free formula that will help to lock in moisture and keep the tan and color fresh for several days. Dry skin will exfoliate more quickly. Also keep from any exfoliating in the shower with any mild or harsh exfoliants, as the more you exfoliate, the more you lessen the life span of your tan.

WHAT SUNSCREEN IS BEST FOR MY SPRAY TAN?

I highly recommend the brand Coola. Remember: it is always important to protect your skin during any sort of exposure to UVA/B rays; sunscreen is always a must! Applying a lotion-type sunscreen that is non-greasy will not only protect your skin when basking in the sun, but also provide critical hydration to the epidermal layer of your skin.

WHEN CAN I TAKE A SHOWER?

If you're doing a rapid tan, you can shower in 2-6 hours. The color will develop more deeply the longer you allow the tan to process. If you're doing a regular tan, you can shower in 8-12 hours. Rinse for 3-5 minutes with mild soap and warm water. Opt for a more gentle shower and leave the loofah or washcloth in the shower caddy. Make sure you apply moisturizer to your whole body after every shower. It helps the tan last longer, fade evenly and look it's best. Try to pat dry instead of rubbing your skin dry with a towel. Dry skin and spray tans don't mix.

CAN I SHAVE OR WAX AFTER A SPRAY TAN?

It is best to handle your waxing and shaving before your spray tan. Waxing is always best at least the day before so your pores have time to close.  Shaving should be done at least 2 hours before a spray tan. Post-tan shaving can lessen the life of your tan, so be gentle, avoid soaking before shaving, and shave conservatively.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO SPRAY TAN?

You can choose to go fully nude, wear underwear/bra if you like tan lines. It's best not to wear a swimsuit because of all the strings, they tend to get in the way. Most tan naked, but I provide disposable undergarments for those wishing to be more modest.

WHAT DO I WEAR POST SPRAY TAN?

It is best to wear dark, loose clothing and open toe shoes. Avoid water and activities that might break a sweat.

HOW DOES IT WORK WHEN YOU COME TO MY HOUSE OR VACATION DESTINATION?

I bring a portable tent that will pop up in your desired space or in front of a window with sufficient lighting. There is no mess for you to clean up since I do not tan people in the shower. The tent will catch any over spray, protecting your belongings.

IS YOUR FORMULA ORGANIC?

My spray tan solution is made of naturally derived ingredients and certified vegan by PETA Foundation.

HOW DO I GET THE SPRAY TAN OFF MY SKIN?

The spray tan will naturally fade as your body exfoliates. If you have any left over on your skin you can gently exfoliate with an exfoliation glove and a salt or sugar scrub. If you prefer to remove your spray tan, you can soak in a hot bath with baking soda and fresh lemon juice for 15-30 minutes, following with a physical exfoliant. It is best to exfoliate in between every spray tan session so you're starting a spray tan with a clean and fresh canvas to provide the maximum tanning effect.

SHOULD I PURSUE A SPRAY TAN IF I AM TAKING MEDICATION?

Consult with your doctor or physician first before pursuing a spray tan if you have any questions pertaining to current medications and engaging in sunless tanning activities.
